Her red hair is naturally curly, but sometimes she'll straighten it and pin it up (she prefers to wear it down). HISTORY: [Anya was an orphan only a year after her birth. Her father had died in a factory accident a month before she was born. After this, her mother immigrated to America from Russia, attempting to start a new life. However, Katerina was killed in a crossfire between a hunter and a demon, and after exorcising the demon, the hunter, Gary Roth, took Anya to raise her as per her dying mother's wishes. He quickly grew fond of the girl, and not wanting her to have a similar end to her mother's, he trained her from a young age in everything that he knew. Gary was a part of a secret association of hunters placed in New York City, so Anya grew up within this safe environment. When her adoptive father died on a hunting trip when she was seventeen, Anya decided to take up his position at the association and continue his legacy.
Recently, it came to their attention that there was a hunting school in Kansas. Wanting to know more about the place and whether or not they should become an ally with it, the hunters' association sent Anya and one other hunter to the school undercover. Now Anya is known as Annie Ross, a cheerful yet stubborn girl in her early twenties who is at the school to avenge the death of her parents and to protect herself from all the monsters that lurk outside the school walls.]
